Espresso & Filter are the two most common type of coffee 

The main difference between these two is the Brewing method. It is also influenced by the coarseness of the grind, the quantity of water used, and brewing time that leads us to two different tastes.

Espresso is an Italic word meaning “it’s Express”. Yes! It is fast to make and quick to consume. The espresso is brewed with pressurizing nearly boiling water through coffee ground. The pressure is about 8 – 10 bars which we cannot produce through our hands. This pressure extract Oils, Sugar, solid and flavored compounds from the grounds. In the end, we get a dense shot of our favorite Espresso.

Macchiato, Cappuccino, Americano & Latte are Espresso based beverages prepared by mixing other ingredients.

Espresso is strong, dense, and more concentrated then Filter Coffee. 

Filter Coffee on the other hand is smooth and pleasant. It is brewed by pouring nearly boiling water over coffee ground. The water comes down with extracts in mug or carafe with gravitational force. It takes more time to prepare filter coffee, nearly 3 – 5 minutes, and is smooth and lighter in taste. Filter coffee is less concentrated than Espresso and hence less intense.

Automatic Drip machine is an electric device and it can brew 10 mugs per minute.

Pour over Cone needs manual pouring of hot water and can brew 3 mugs at a time.
